Amulets of defense give a bonus to the players DV. The typical bonus is +2, however values from -1 to +5 have been noted. See the Common Stats section below for details.
Desirability[]
Early in the game these can be moderately useful, however by the mid-game better amulets will have been found. 2 DV is about equal to the difference between Bloated and Satiated state, and never of great impact in any part of the game. A classical "better than nothing" case.

Amulets of defense can be generated in the same manner as all generic loot.
