Cave tigers are monsters in ADOM. They are most notable for being felines, meaning that the PC should avoid being responsible for their deaths or else face the wrath of the cat lord. They tend to be the most dangerous of the felines (not including their lord himself), and unlike the others cannot be fed rat corpses; they can only be tamed by giving them pieces of meat, or by music.
Level: 1, DV: 16, PV: 1, Hits: 25, Attacks: 3, Damage: 3-10. Speed: 100.
No ill effects for any PCs. Cats are tasty, apparently.
Shiny fur, majestic movements and impressive fangs -- a cave tiger on the prowl is an awe-inspiring sight. Unfortunately, the prey it is after could be *you*. If your speed and dexterity aren't up to the marks, you'll probably feel sharp tiger claws ripping your armor to pieces. You can try to gain time by feeding a hungry cave tiger. (Do cats eat bats? Now's the time to find out!) However, before you draw your sword of sharpness, please consider that cave tigers belong to a very rare species. Do you really want to be responsible for their extinction?
