Large bat is a type of monster in ADOM. Whilst quite evasive, they are one of the weakest monsters in the game. Since bats rely on echolocation to locate other beings, they are capable of 'seeing' the PC in darkness and/or if they are invisible (as of v. 1.2.0). As flying creatures, they can also cross water unhindered.

Monster memory[]
A loud twitter from above... a confusing fluttering of leathery wings... the large bat swoops down from the sky gibbering and shrieking. This brownish bat is roughly one yard from wingtip to wingtip, and has a face only its mother could love. Normally placid browsers on fruit and slime molds, many Drakalor bats are rabid and quite aggressive.
