King cobras are monsters in ADOM. King cobras are relatively rare animals which (although stronger than other snake species in the game) do not pose significant threat. They have a poisonous attack but otherwise lack noteworthy melee capabilities.
Like most other animals, king cobras may be tamed using the Music skill.

This mighty, olive-brown serpent is enormous. As long as a pole-axe, it can be surprisingly difficult to see when curled in a tight loop on an earthen floor. Its incredible size is not, however, its most powerful weapon. It is armed with a deadly venom which can rapidly stop the breathing and heartbeat of its prey and enemies.
