|Girdle of greed ( [ )|
Girdles of greed are one of the most useful types of girdle in the game. When blessed, they increase the player's carrying capacity by the amount of gold they are carrying, allowing the player to carry an insanely high amount of gold. A blessed girdle of greed, combined with multiple millions and some other way to increase carrying capacity (such as the Porter talent) will increase carrying capacity by more than the weight of the gold, allowing virtually unlimited carrying capacity depending only on wealth.
Note that while wearing a blessed girdle of greed carrying large amounts of gold, you are extremely vulnerable to such monsters as green hags, as they can curse the player's equipment (resulting in being crushed to death by the weight of your gold which is now subtracted from your carrying capacity - twice).
For an example of how this might work, see the bottom of the page.
- Uncursed girdles of greed will increase the player's carrying capacity by 50% of the amount of gold carried.
- Cursed girdles of greed will decrease carrying capacity by 200% the amount of gold.
Cursed girdles prevent equipping/unequipping body armor.
They are useful to all players, however most useful for "packrats" in combination with a carrying talent.
They can be found in the same manner as all generic loot.

How it worksEdit
- Note that this section is not required for gameplay and is nothing but an attempt to explain how exactly a blessed girdle of greed can increase carrying capacity.
Lets say there is a character called MrBob. MrBob can carry a total of 71393s of equipment before he becomes overburdened (MrBob has very high strength).
He picks up a pile of 7,000,000 gold pieces, leaving him with 1393s free.
MrBob equips a blessed girdle of greed. Because he has the Porter, Master Packager and Beast of Burden talents all stacking with the girdle of greed, he can now carry a total of 281603s of equipment before he becomes overburdened. Take away the 70,000s required for his gold, and he is left with a carrying capacity of 211603s, almost triple his original carrying capacity.
The bottom line is, if you have any other boost to your carrying capacity and you wear a blessed girdle of greed, all that is required is a lot of money and you can carry everything in the game.
