Leather caps are a basic type of hat in ADOM. They have typical stats of [+0, +0], although variations from these numbers are common. They have no special bonuses, resistances, or attributes.
Desirability[]
[+0, +0] equipment is of doubtful to nonexistant use, and if cursed will block the equipment slot and prevent better equipment from being worn. For this reason, it is risky to equip one you don't know the status of, even though there is a decent chance that it has positive DV or PV - use an altar to make sure they aren't cursed, then equip them; or offer (but not sell) a bunch of them to a shopkeeper and try out the most valuable. Appraising can help too.
