Ogre is a type of monster in ADOM. They are common monsters that can fire rocks and smash doors. They often drop slings when killed. A large amount of ogres can be found in the appropriately named Ogre Cave, and lesser vaults and tension rooms of ogres may also be found.

Eating an ogre may raise the PC's strength; this seems to be only effective whilst the PC's strength is below 20, and becomes less likely the higher it is.
Monster memory
These large humanoids are strong and not very bright. They tend toward patchy hair and vacuous looks, and favor caves and mountainous regions, only occasionally living in a larger settlement with others of their ilk. They are bad-tempered and enjoy plucking appendages off smaller creatures.
