Potions of longevity alter the PC's maximum age when drunk. Blessed and uncursed potions increase maximum age with blessed being more effective, while cursed potions decrease it. The effects of multiple potions stack.
The PC cannot die of old age until they are at the very old age category, so decreasing maximum age once it is below this point will not make the PC any more vulnerable to aging.

They are useful to players with short lifespans, to reduce risk of death by aging attacks used by ghosts.
