|Ring of weakness ( = )|
Rings of weakness reduce your strength to a low value: blessed St:6, uncursed St:4, cursed St:2. They are autocursing.
In versions of ADOM prior to 1.2.0, they can actually be useful when training Strength. Lowering the PC's strength previously allowed it to be trained up easily; any gains to strength (i.e. from eating the corpses of ogres or giants, or being burdened) don't show up until the ring is removed. Following the strength boost with a cursed potion of exchange allows this training to be transferred to other stats. Before using one to train strength, remember to have some means to uncurse it handy, and be very careful that putting it on doesn't reduce your carrying capacity so much that you are crushed by your equipment.
As of version 1.2.0, base stat values are accounted for in training rather than current ones; meaning that wearing a ring of weakness is now not only dangerous, but more or less useless.
They can be generated in the same manner as all generic loot.
