Scale mail is the second lightest type of base armor in ADOM. It is somewhat more protective than ring mail body armor.

Crystal scale armor has very heavy weight, which is not really compensated by improved armor abilities — it offers 2 extra PV over mithril scale mail while weighing almost twice as much.


Desirability

It weighs exactly the same as chain mail of same material, while being less protective; scale mail is thus replaced by better armor sooner or later.
