Scimitars are one of the basic types of one-handed melee weapons in ADOM. They belong to the Swords weapon group, and benefit from and train the corresponding weapon skill.

DesirabilityEdit

Scimitars are almost identical in power to long swords while being marginally more powerful in higher metal varieties (adamantium and eternium).

Guaranteed/Common SourcesEdit

They can be obtained in the same manner as all generic loot. Some drakish melee-oriented classes can start with an iron scimitar. Unlike their long sword counterparts, eternium scimitars cannot be retrieved from fallen chaos warriors thus limiting the possibility of finding one with a powerful prefix and/or suffix.
