This page lists all spells available in ADOM.

Table notation

  • Base PP cost shows the amount of power points necessary to cast a spell not taking into account neither positive modifiers (such as Silvernight, Wizard class powers etc.) nor negative modifiers (low spell knowledge).
  • Touch spells can be cast on a target next to PC or on PC himself/herself.
  • Spells with Radius specified as a formula are either bolt spells (fire a ray in a specified direction) or ball spells (cover an area).
  • Radius and Effect/Duration formulae abbreviations use the following conventions:
    • M{x, y} — maximum of x and y
    • m{x, y} — minimum of x and y
    • R{x, F, z} — value of F, but not less than x and not more than z
    • E — spell efficiency (level)
    • L — PC's level
    • W — PC's Willpower score
    • M — PC's Mana score
    • R — spell effective radius
    • r — remaining distance to travel (for bolt spells)

Notes

  1. Extra PP are used to move projectile on target tile; the amount is calculated based on distance.
  2. Improved Fireball works exactly as missile attacks — the projectile will not reach target destination if something is in the line of its flight.
  3. As of version 1.2.0 base PP cost is based on DL of current level.
