I don't know if I've seen any conclusive research on the effectiveness of different instruments. Some people believe that the heavier ones are better, but I don't know. The only one that I know anything about is whistles: they're completely useless. I've never successfully tamed a monster with a whistle, even at 100 skill. JellySlayer 16:48, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
