|Throwing knife ( / )|
Throwing knives are a type of missile with default stats of (+1, 1d3+2), although variations from this are common.
Thrown daggers are one of the less viable weapon classes, since the dagger of returning is very rare and very weak. That said, large stacks of orcish knives can be gathered easily, which can be used with efficiency. Still, the only players that will find themselves using thrown daggers a great deal will be Assassins, as this is their strongest form of offence in the early game by far. Throwing knives have an advantage of convenience only - contrary to dagger and orcish knives, they will be recognized as missiles by the game, meaning they will be offered as an automatic reload, preventing you from having to scour your inventory for a new stack of "melee weapon" thrown daggers every time they run out.
They can be obtained in the same manner as all generic loot.
