|Wand of far slaying ( \ )|
Wands of far slaying are wands that, when "z"apped, shoot a bouncing energy ray in any of the eight directions, which causes 1d6 damage per hit. They have a base range of 30 + Level, and they gain 4/3/2 (B/U/C) range for each PP spent when activating them.
They are useful, but dangerous. It is hard to use the wand indoors and not hit the PC, although it can be used with a low amount of PP to wake up Orb guardians in the elemental temples.
It can be used with an amulet of life saving and a high amount of PP to kill both the PC and monsters, abusing the fact that the PC will be resurrected by the amulet.
Currently (in r65-72 verified and p20+ likely) the PC is hit for 1d6, while monsters receive 1d6+PV damage. This can make the wand quite damaging, even without an excessive number of bounces.
They can be obtained in the same manner as all generic loot.
