Wands of monster creation will, when "z"apped, allow the player to summon a (hostile) monster in any of the eight directions surrounding them.
Monsters appear to subscribe to the danger level of the dungeon they're summoned in.
They can be useful to place a slow foe between the player and a fast opponent they wish to flee from... unless the monster created is even more dangerous.
Monsters created by the wand are not considered summoned or bred, making this a possible quick way to get piety quickly via sacrificing.
One of these is required to fulfill the quest to obtain the Medal of Chaos, making them of vital importance to any ultra ending. They can also be used to fill a door-created 1x1 room and prevent any other monster from teleporting in and pulling the levers on D:50.
They can be generated in the same manner as all generic loot.
