Wands of webbing are wands that, when "z"apped, allow the player to create webs in any of the eight directions, which can slow most creatures' progress. While the web ray will usually be easily shrugged off, even extremely powerful enemies can be entangled for a few turns or more upon walking to another web square. While webs obstruct the progress of creatures and the PC, they do not stop missiles or spells in any way.
This wand has a range of 8/4/2 for B/U/C respectively. Additional 1 range is added for each 5 character levels.
Very useful, actually - even more so if the PC can freely teleport on the level. The usual course of action is to web hallways, locate the dangerous monster in question on one side and the PC on the other side of the webs, then shoot missiles or bolts (provided they don't burn webs away, such as fire bolts). Once the monster comes closer, the PC can back away and web more of the hallway.
They can be obtained in the same manner as all generic loot.
